Fermented Beet and Orange Sauerkraut Salad Recipe [Beat the Winter Blues]

When oranges are in season, this is my go-to salad. Keep a jar of Passion Pink Sauerkraut on hand to make this salad in the time it takes to peel an orange.

You Will Need

  • 1/4 cup (50 grams) Passion Pink Sauerkraut
  • 1 orange
  • 1 ounce (28 grams) feta cheese
  • 1 sprig fresh mint

Instructions

  1. An orange adds a nice sweetness to this sauerkraut salad. | makesauerkraut.com
  2. Peel orange, cut into bite sized pieces and place on plate.

  3. Add your feta cheese to your sauerkraut salad. | makesauerkraut.com
  4. Crumble feta cheese over orange.

  6. Grab a few forkfuls of Passion Pink Sauerkraut, letting brine drip back into jar. Sprinkle over feta cheese.

  7. Top salad with 5-7 finely sliced mint leaves.

  8. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt. 

  9. Feel free to drizzle with a bit of honey or maple syrup. 

  10. Enjoy this refreshing burst of sweetness.
