Dear Supportive Readers,
RELEASE DATE: Jan 7, 2016!!!
I have been working hard over the last year to develop and perfect a set of recipes to make it easy for you to enjoy a wide range of flavorful sauerkrauts. It
will be IS NOW available, and I’m very excited for its launch. You’ll crave the goodness of what I’ve created. I sure do.
It’s been fun. It’s been tasty! It’s been a year full of experiments with numerous lessons learned.
I sliced and salted many pounds of cabbage and family and friends have endlessly sampled sauerkraut.
I surprised myself at how easy it is to take a meal to a whole new level just by serving some flavorful sauerkraut with it. Five-star meals can be had with just a jar of fermented goodness.
And, I realized I needed to include more than just sauerkraut recipes. Time and time again, when I see a former MakeSauerkraut! Workshop participant in my community, they sheepishly look away, because something got in the way of them fermenting a batch of sauerkraut.
They love making sauerkraut it. It’s easy-peasy. It does wonders for their health, yet the cabbage sits untouched in their refrigerator, whithering away. So, I saw the need to include tips to help Make-Sauerkraut-Happen!
So now, there are twelve action items that are designed to help get that cabbage out of your fridge and into a jar, all the way from finding a place to store your fermentation jars to why and how to travel with your sauerkraut. These tips will become a part of my email series, soon to be reworked to help you make fermenting a breeze.
Now, for a visual taste sample.
Sauerkraut Recipes, A Jarful of Previews:
This sauerkraut recipe features jalapenos.
Don’t like hot and spicy food? No worries.
You can take the heat out, but leave the flavor in, my preference. Or, add lots of heat, as my husband loves it.
Juniper Berry Sauerkraut
Just the right balance between juniper berries and fresh rosemary.
A roast pork dinner is not complete without this by its side.
Lemon Dill-Light Sauerkraut
So simple, yet so pleasantly dill-lightful.
In the background is the sweetness of pineapple, accented by turmeric for a wonderful health punch.
Sauerkraut Corn Relish
The warmth of summer – corn and red peppers – packed into a jar.
Do I make you hungry for some tangy crunch? Can you wait to taste these new flavors?
